Oil & Gas

In the Oil & Gas sector, ITI has gained a long and solid experience, collaborating with the main international players in the construction of onshore and offshore plants, refineries, storage terminals and pipelines. We take care of the complete electrical and instrumental design: from feasibility studies to detailed design, up to on-site assistance and commissioning. Our solutions are developed in compliance with the most rigorous international standards (IEC, ATEX, API), with particular attention to the safety, reliability of the plants and their resistance to extreme environments. Each project represents for us an opportunity to put into practice multidisciplinary skills, advanced technologies and an engineering approach oriented towards efficiency and operational continuity. Thanks to a structured methodology and know-how gained in over 40 years of activity, ITI presents itself as a trusted technical partner for the entire life cycle of the project.

Power Plant - Nuclear

ITI srl began its activity in the Italian nuclear sector in the 1980s, but then stopped following the referendum. In 2007, it resumed its activity, collaborating first with ENEL and then with Slovenské Elektrárne on the electrical design of the Mochovce power plant, one of the main nuclear plants in Central-Eastern Europe. The skills developed range from the design of electrical power and control systems to solutions for emergency management and functional safety. Thanks to the experience gained and a highly qualified team, ITI today presents itself as a reference technical partner for nuclear projects, offering a rigorous and specialized approach, essential in a sector as strategic as it is delicate.

Power Plant – Thermal Cycles

Il settore degli impianti per i cicli termici, rappresenta per ITI una delle aree storiche di maggiore specializzazione. Fin dagli anni ’80, l’azienda ha avviato una solida collaborazione con ENEL, che ancora oggi rappresenta uno dei nostri clienti di riferimento. Nei 45 anni di attività, ITI ha contribuito alla progettazione elettrica e strumentale di numerosi impianti termoelettrici in Italia e all’estero, intervenendo in ogni fase progettuale: dallo sviluppo del progetto preliminare alla progettazione esecutiva, fino al supporto tecnico al cantiere. Nel campo delle telecomunicazioni industriali, progettiamo reti cablate e wireless per la trasmissione dati, voce e video su fibra ottica, rame, radio e satellite, assicurando ridondanza, sicurezza e continuità operativa. Le nostre soluzioni includono reti LAN/WAN, sistemi VoIP, CCTV, controllo accessi, antintrusione, sistemi di rilevamento gas e incendio, e infrastrutture per data center remoti o locali.
Each system is designed according to international standards (IEC, ISO, ITU-T, NIST) and conceived to integrate into complex environments, even those subject to environmental or regulatory constraints. The goal is to offer complete control, secure communication, and intelligent process management, enabling digital interconnection between the field, plant, and central monitoring.

Renewables and Bess

With the ever-increasing focus on energy transition, ITI has developed advanced skills in electrical and instrumental design for plants powered by renewable sources, in particular large-scale wind and photovoltaic farms. The company's experience also extends to energy storage systems (BESS - Battery Energy Storage Systems), which are essential elements to ensure stability and flexibility to modern electricity grids. Since 2013, ITI has collaborated with TERNA RETE ITALIA in the development of experimental storage projects, providing technical support in the assembly, pre-commissioning, commissioning, performance measurement and O&M activities phases, accompanied by detailed technical reports. In parallel, ITI has managed the FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) engineering for BESS plants with a total nominal power greater than 1 GW, including the design of the direct connection to the national high-voltage electricity grid. In this context, it has carried out technical feasibility studies, impact analyses on the HV grid, drafting the functional specifications of the storage systems and designing the connection stations. The ability to manage complex projects at utility scale makes ITI a reliable partner for energy operators, investors and EPC contractors engaged in the realization of solutions for a sustainable energy future.
